I know my grandkids like to visit me. They hurry up to the door, take off shoes and coats and make themselves at home. They like grandma's toys, snacks, tv, and bathtub. They love all of their uncles. We have a good time together.
But then...it's time to go home.
Trevor and Miriam often have to be carried to the car kicking and screaming when it's time to leave. Kaith is mature enough to just pout and perhaps whimper. Sterling is too young to care.
It's easy to get them in, and an ordeal to get them out. I'm amazed that Stephanie is able to go anywhere with all of them.

We have a rule that if you go on a playdate you have to play well and leave well or you aren't invited back for a while. It has worked great most of the time - other times there is no saving the situation!
I've never really been a Springstein fan--I don't get him. His version of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" is fingernails on the chalkboard awful.
But I digress...(That's for you Deb)
I too have trouble getting rid of kids at my house. The door is open, the chat is exhausted and the kid is playing mind games with her mama...
And nice image.
I like Sherri's rule. I think I will explain it to the Stephanie (I'm sure she will appreciate it). I think Trevor and Kaith will get it, Miriam....well, we'll see.
