We had Scouts tonight. Alex and Daniel have a few required merit badges that they will be working on for the next few months. These are the ones that take 3 months each. I really want them to finish these up. But I find it's a fine line to encourage without enabling. I want my boys to succeed in Scouts, but I don't want to be one of those parents that micromanages the whole process. All part of growing up and becoming men.

Boy, You'll Be A Man Someday
We had Scouts tonight. Alex and Daniel have a few required merit badges that they will be working on for the next few months. These are the ones that take 3 months each. I am just starting down the long road of Scouts...it's a marathon not a sprint. (That's what I keep telling myself)
It's not a marathon...it's a 50 mile hike. When it's going particularly poorly it's more of a death march.
