Pride Goeth Before the Fall

Rollerskating is not my forte.
Where to start, where to start...Sherri warned me. I knew it could be dangerous - did I listen? No. Obviously no.

I fractured my wrist pretty thoroughly - I ended up at the hospital with an orthopedic surgeon pulling my wrist back into place - yes, it was moderately painful. Not quite as painful as the first set of x-rays (sans splint) and only slightly more painful than having my wedding ring cut off.

Guess what I'll be posting about for the next week or two...

So, my first thought of the picture of your wrist is the picture of Nathan's broken arm. Ouch, that just looks painful.

Is it wrong that I am happy it wasn't your ankle?

Looks like it's you're left hand; does that help? And where's the cast? Rings can be soldered back together OR maybe a two-carat substitute? And wear the first set on a chain around the neck? Just a thought!

But it does look painful and we're so sorry it happened. Our best wishes for a speedy recovery!

I think that if I had to pick one limb to break it would have been this one. I would much rather it was none...

Mom - I like your thinking.

Ah well, if it had to happen, it couldn't happen to a better appendage...strange the way we think,
but ultimately true. So sorry Deb! I can't even get my nose out of joint and be able to function! Time to call in all that loving service you've been giving for 25 years or so to your family and loll in bed for a couple of weeks? ( Good Luck with that...though I do think Mom's idea on ring replacement has merit ;)

Ouch, ouch, ouch. You don't look like you're crying in public but I agree with Suz. Your arm is curvy.

Hang in there and I'll call later to get the longer scoop.

I love the title. And, yes. I did tell you so. Still sorry I was right though! Maybe a trip somewhere would make it feel better? Just thinkin' here! 2 carats are nice but they just sit there....

That is crazy! Hope you heal up quick! If you want you can be like Andrew (Wilcox) and make up crazy silly stories about how you broke it. (Andrew broke his ankle last year slipping on the ice on the way to his class at BYU. I heard him tell many stories. Don't know if I heard the same one twice!)
