Something Fishy

The boys are back...

...and they brought fish.

Steve said "these can go in the freezer."

I said, "those aren't going in my freezer...guess what's for dinner?"

I hate having a fishy smell in the freezer - everything in the freezer ends up tasting like fish. Yuk. Better just to serve them up fresh. Maybe with a side of baby spinach.

Danny must be "The Fish Whisperer". It took him about 30 seconds to hook his first one - and about the same for the second. I'm not sure what he was using for bait - but the fish sure must have liked it.

The question is: Who has to clean it?

And I'm with you...No fish in the freezer.

Danny cleaned his own fish - that's the rule.

Blech. I don't like to think of where fish comes from. Once in a great while I'll cook it, but it does NOT have eyes in it.

Wow Suz. That's a pretty weenie position for a girl who I know for a fact has been ankle-deep in fish guts without batting an eye...

Strict rules allow for meat items not wrapped in cellophane in my house.

You kill it, you clean it (all shot pellets must be removed and verified with a metal detector), you cook it and MAYBE I'll try a bite and not cringe.

And I'm with Suzanne - no eyes. I made Jim take the head off my lobster while on our honeymoon because it kept looking at me. Blah.
