I was complaining to Stephanie about cleaning my office. She suggested that I put on a happy working song. Brilliant!

This is our favorite family tv show. Of all time. New season starts this week, lets warm up the DVR. I hope the writers strike hasn't had a deleterious effect.

The new season of Monk starts Friday also. That is our other favorite family tv show.

Ox in the Mire

I don't usually do laundry on Sunday.

• I gave my husband a brand new white shirt for Christmas. Hey, at least it wasn't socks or underwear (okay, he got socks too). ANYWAY....during dinner yesterday he splattered lasagna across the front. Lasagna. Yeah, so instead of enabling him I suggested that he try and remove the stain while it was still fresh. He tried:
• oxy clean
• detergent
• hydrogen peroxide
• vinegar

The stain was lighter, but definitely still there. Trying to be optimistic he said "I think my tie will cover it". Of course, the reason I gave him a new shirt for Christmas in the first place was because his other white shirts weren't very white anymore.

I told him to hand it over and in about 5 minutes I had it white again. Thanks Clorox.

Follow Through

It's time to start following through on some of those New Years resolutions. I've already started on a few of them, but today we start reading the Book of Mormon as a family. Our goal is to finish before Nathan gets home from his mission in April. That gives us almost exactly 3 months.

We can so do this.

"How" a person thinks about a hammer? I can safely say that my dad thinks about hammers differently than you or I. He looks at a hammer and says, "We can just bump out a wall here, and add on a new wing to the house. It'll be easy..." And then he proceeds to do it. Though, probably not with a hammer. I bet he'd use a sawzall.

Parenting 101

I bet you didn't know that I have something in common with Britney Spears. I know you're thinking that it's the singing/dancing stuff. But no. We both "get" to go to parenting classes. Okay, hers are court appointed and mine aren't. My husband signed us both up. Thanks hon. The couple that teaches the class are very nice, and the lessons are very informative - I should be an awesome parent by the time the class ends right?

I'd like to get that in writing.
