Gird up your loins, fresh courage take.

I was supposed to go in this morning for a biopsy. I haven't been unduly worried about it, but on the other hand, I haven't been particularly looking forward to it. I got a call this morning postponing it - I have to call in on Monday and see about rescheduling it. Not looking forward to that. I had just enough fortitude to deal with it once, now I have to think about it again. Darn it.

A Womb with a View

Hey Keira. Good luck on your ultrasound on Monday. Hope it goes well. I'm sure they won't find a petrified baby. Or pink elephants. Wish me luck on my bibiopsy tomorrow.

Sliding Home

We have been on the run here since about 2:30 this afternoon. Grocery shopping for dinner, packing for scout camp (Danny), sending Andrew and Nathan to a Mariner's baseball game, calling the doctor to get copy of Danny's physical (for camp), making dinner, picking up missionaries, dinner with missionaries, pack check, pick up purse from Fred Meyer customer service, recommend interview (ward), Costco (pick up 4 pairs of glasses), recommend interview (stake).

I'm ready for bed. I plan on wearing my new reading glasses tonight while I read in bed.

Goodnight.

A Nice Place To Live

Marysville is a nice town to live in. I have had repeated examples of this over the past 10 years we've lived here. On at least 3 separate occasions I have left my purse in a shopping cart in the parking lot of a grocery store. Every time I do, my purse has been taken to customer service. I really shouldn't make a habit of this - but it's nice to know that instead of first panicking I can call the store and have a pretty darn good chance that it's already been turned in.

Yup, that's what I did today.

What's For Dinner?

I mean it. What's for dinner? Evidently I signed up to feed the missionaries tonight - but I neglected to put it on my calendar...sooo....what should I feed them? I'm tempted to go the totally cheater way and just give them a choice of hamburgers or polish sausage (I learned this song last week - on the way home from girls camp). I have both options in my refrigerator right now. I just feel a little lame doing it. Especially since that's what we had for dinner yesterday. What the heck, both boys that were home last night will be gone to a Mariner's game this evening, and Daniel (who wasn't home last night) will be home.

Sorry hon, it looks like hamburgers, the sequel.

Baby Love

I sent Danny to see WALL-E this morning with Stephanie, Kaith and Trevor. I babysat Miriam and Sterling. It's tough to watch a nursing child for 3 hours especially when he's hungry. He will eat a few different things, but unfortunately the only thing I had on hand was Rice Krispies and about a tablespoon of baby food left over from yesterday. He was not a happy camper.

Thank goodness for baths. He happily played in the tub for at least 20 minutes - while we waited for the stuck on Rice Krispies to come unstuck.

Summer is Here.

We are on day 2 (for the year) of what I think is excessive heat. Pretty much anything over 85 degrees Fahrenheit is excessive, in my opinion. Fortunately the forecast is for cooler weather the rest of the week, so I keep telling myself: I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.
I resorted to putting my hair up in pig-tails, which my oldest grandson decided, after much deliberation were more silly than pretty. I have to agree.

Steve just came up from the garage with a box containing a single room air-conditioner. David left it here with us a couple of years ago - I totally forgot that we had it. Steve is my hero. I suppose I would consider having air-conditioning installed if we had more than a week of hot weather a year...

In the meantime, it's too darn hot.
